Adam Moore has an extreme pro-transgender agenda. He supports allowing minor children to receive gender-transition treatments and voted against legislation preventing taxpayer-funded Medicaid dollars from paying for gender-reassignment surgeries.
Two actions. One week. March 2026.
House Bill 534 barred people who are not U.S. citizens from registering to vote in Kentucky and required their removal from the rolls. Moore filed Floor Amendment 5 to delete that provision from the bill.
When his amendment failed, Moore voted against HB 534. It passed the House 53 to 40 without him.
Moore posted the protest to his X account and defended it the next day, saying it was not "anti-American."
Adam Moore is supported by the same liberal groups that back radical Democrat Socialists and their extreme agenda of open borders, defunding the police, and abolishing prisons—policies that would drive up costs and make life even less safe for Kentucky families.
Kentucky families are already struggling with affordability. But Adam Moore supports increasing business taxes which will ultimately be passed on to families through higher prices at a time when they can least afford it.
The bill let groups of local governments form special taxing districts empowered to levy a new property tax and a 3 percent occupational license fee on wages earned inside the district. Club for Growth called it a "crony tax increase scheme." Moore voted for it.
The bill prohibited Kentucky from charging sales or use tax on gold, silver, and platinum bullion and let taxpayers claim refunds. It passed 80 to 19. Moore was one of the 19.
Moore called the absence of the spending a "deep flaw" in the House budget.
He said he doesn't think of a probation or parole officer as a “typical first responder.”
SB 104 added probation and parole officers, university police, and airport police to the list of first responders protected from interference and harassment while working. Moore questioned including them and raised concerns that the bill could affect people filming ICE agents.
On the Kentucky Politics podcast, Moore criticized the provision making it an offense to camp or sleep in public places where it is prohibited, saying the legislature was "criminalizing people that are unhoused."
The bill's own fiscal note called for roughly $42 million in one-time construction costs appropriated to KCTCS to build programming space inside Department of Corrections facilities.
Our elected leaders should be proud to stand up for America and what makes our nation great. But Adam Moore rejects American exceptionalism and thinks America is not the best country in the world.
